Stroke Scan Plus will be hosting a Stroke, Vascular & Abdominal Ultrasound Screening in the Parish Hall on Thursday, November 3 and Friday, November 4. They will check:

• Carotid arteries on both sides of the neck for fatty plaque build-up, which accounts for 80% of all strokes.
• Abdominal aorta, which is the main artery off the heart, for aneurysms.
• Thyroid, which controls the metabolism, for cyst, nodules, and enlargements.
• Liver, gallbladder, and both kidneys for cyst, masses, fluid build-up, and tumors.

These screenings are typically NOT performed at annual checkups, nor will insurance companies pay for them unless you are symptomatic. Collectively, these screenings cost thousands in a hospital. Stroke Scan Plus will be offering all 7 screenings for just $169. Health Savings Accounts are accepted.
