During the Thanksgiving and Easter holidays, Our Lady of Fatima Parish comes together to provide boxes of food to less fortunate families. Volunteers assemble empty boxes for parishioners to fill with non-perishable food items. Volunteers then process filled boxes and distribute them to more than 350 families from our Parish, two other parishes, and five organizations. Cash donations defray the cost of perishable items added to each family’s box.
This is a ministry where individuals and entire families can participate. Be sure to watch for upcoming food basket signup events. It takes an army of volunteers to process all these boxes, and we would love to add your name to our list of helpers! See photos from our recent food box drive.

The Gabriel Project is an outreach program, sponsored by the Archdiocese of Denver, for women and families in need during a pregnancy. Many volunteers come together at Our Lady of Fatima to ensure pregnant women in need have access to the Jeffco Gabriel House, located next to our church in the Religious Education Building.
Volunteers for Jeffco Gabriel House are prepared to offer practical, emotional and spiritual help to women and families during the pregnancy and after the child's birth. Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver is a community-based Christian homeownership program that builds and sells homes to hardworking families in need of decent housing. Our ministry is based on the conviction that to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, we must reflect Christ’s love in our own lives by loving and caring for one another. Our Lady of Fatima Parish has helped sponsor and build Habitat Homes since 2009.
Please consider supporting this life-changing ministry. Construction expertise is not required, and we have many non-construction jobs. Volunteers must be 16 years or older to volunteer on the construction site. Please signup to build at Habitat Volunteer Hub.
OLF and the Habitat Helpers recently built a new 3-bedroom home for our partner family Dismas Niyokumfasha and Beatrice Irankunda, and their three boys. It’s part of the 63-home development at Sheridan Square. In February 2018, they received the keys to their new home! The family is very thankful and excited about their new home. See photos from this build.
We are working to raise funds for future builds. Tax-deductible donations can be dropped off at the Parish Office or sent directly to: Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver, 3245 Eliot Street, Denver, CO 80211. Please make checks payable to Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver, and note Habitat Helpers/OLF on the memo line.

Membership in the Queen of Peace Rosary Circle, of the Altar & Rosary Society, consists of both men and women. We make cord or wire rosaries at home to be sent to missions both here and abroad. Locally, we give mission rosaries to students, hospitals, hospices, nursing homes and to groups learning to pray the Rosary. We make other rosaries to be sold at the Altar & Rosary Society Religious Goods Sale or by special order. Proceeds from these sales are used to purchase rosary making supplies.

The Respect Life Committee at Our Lady of Fatima promotes the dignity and worth of all human life from the moment of fertilization to natural death as a reflection of our Catholic faith and God’s loving creation of us in His image. We believe respect for life is fostered through prayer, fasting, education, alms giving, and activist opportunities.
Abortion is certainly a key issue, but we also address euthanasia, contraception, embryonic stem cell research, and capital punishment. Our ministry seeks to share information with the parish and develop opportunities for involvement in community efforts. All parishioners are welcome to participate in any of our ministry activities.

The St. Clare Circle, of the Altar & Rosary Society, is a ministry working with The Action Center to carry out the mission given to us in Matthew 25:35-46 to "feed the hungry." Meals are prepared weekly for The Action Center to feed people living at their homeless shelter. Each of us commits to preparing a meal 2-4 times a year. Some of us do this as individuals, and some work with others to fulfill this corporal work of mercy.
